CHOO CHOO!!!!

  • Kay's Strawberry cocktail at "Chicha por Gastón Acurio" - a nice restaurant in Cusco. And Gastón Acurio had a bunch of nice restaruants in Peru
  • The Chuch de la Compania de Jesus again
  • Awww, on the cheese plate at breakfast at the hotel in Cusco - a radish mouse!
  • The lobby of the Andean Explorer PeruRail station in Cusco - waiting for our train trip to Puno. Very nice lobby, and you can see the blue train out the windows.
  • The inside of the train - very nice train (one of the top few in the world to ride), as the seats were real cloth highback chairs that were bolted down. PeruRail was really bad at getting groups assigned to seats that were together, but after some stink eye from another group of 4 everything settled in and we took off.
  • My eyes look…weird. And purty flower!
  • The last car was the bar and observation car - this part was covered, but the back was open. Also, this is where the fashion show took place.
  • A view as the train climbs up the Urubamba valley
  • Mmm…mini pisco sour at 10 am! (Well, it was free, why would we say no?)
  • Aaron stylishly modelling Kay's Alpaca hand warmers that she had bought at the fashion show. Yes, I did make Britney Spears jokes.
  • La Raya - the highest point of the train trip, 14 thousand feet! It was a bit…wheezy up there.
  • The little church in La Raya
  • Llamas and Alpacas are awesome - they all turn and watch you at the same time. Except those few guys in the front.
  • An alpaca and a train. How poetic?
  • A Kay and a train. Just as poetic as the alpaca, but with more coolness due to the sunglasses.
  • CHOO CHOO!!!!
  • Love their logo - I think it's Machu Picchu, a llama, the condor, and an incan wall. But I'm just guessing.
  • The line we took from Cusco to Puno - an 8 hour trip, but the bus ride is like 5 1/2 hours to 6, so it was way cooler.
  • Awww, such a cute couple. But needs some more Britney Spears hand warmers.
  • The second half of the trip was in the "alitplano", or high desert. Admittedly, it was a bit….boring. Pretty, but…boring.
